Vignerons Bio Nouvelle-Aquitaine brings together more than 200 organic and biodynamic winemakers from the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
What binds us is the desire to sustain an Organic Agriculture that is certified, plural and economically viable.
Organic farming is a specific farming method that requires practices that respect ecological balances and farmers’ autonomy.
We chose organic farming to :
- Preserve living and the Earths’ resources
- Produce healthy wines of organoleptic quality
- Maintain a dynamic rural social fabric that guarantees job creation and know-how preservation.
- Protect everyone health: workers, residents, consumers, citizens.
Organic farming is characterized by:
- The non-use of synthetic chemicals and genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
- Organic materials recycling
- Biological control based on preventive methods.
This environmentally friendly production method helps maintain and improve soil fertility and structure. It fosters biodiversity and helps preserve the quality of water and air.
OUR MAIN MISSIONS:
Winemakers representation - To represent and defend the interests of Organic winegrowers in the regional, national and European instances related to viticulture and organic farming.
Technical and economic development - Contribute to the economic and technical development of organic wine production by individually and collectively accompanying the Organic winegrowers.
Collective image promotion - Promote and develop the collective image and notoriety Organic wines and spirits to trade professionals and private customers.
Wine quality improvement - Initiate and collaborate on development and research programs in order to improve the quality of organic wines.
